This facility offers a 5,800-gallon salt-water aquarium, a 1,500-gallon marine life touch tank, and an 800-foot nature boardwalk with open-air classrooms.

There is also a planetarium, a microscope lab, a library, and a souvenir shop. 

During the academic school year, August through May, this nature center offers field excursions.

Also, there is provision for a touch tank where visitors can get their hands on sea life and a variety of seashells. 

You’ll be able to see amberjacks, red snapper, jack crevalle, spadefish, and even red drum live.

Gaze at the stars, see the moon phases, or even watch a movie on the dome ceiling of this planetarium.

25. Orange Beach Bamahenge

For something different and attractive to see in Orange Beach, check out the Bamahenge.

The Bamahenge is a massive Stonehenge-style fiberglass pillar in a strategic setting in the city.

It is a full-scale fiberglass model of England’s Stonehenge that you’ll see on the grounds of Barber Marina in Josephine.

Artist Mark Cline created and built it at the request of marina owner George W. Barber. 

However, this bigger and more robust version comes from the same artist that brought you Foamhenge in Virginia.

If you had the chance to visit the original in Virginia, the site is cooler because it is at the top of a huge hill, but the execution on this version is far superior.

Literally, it’s a great spot to ride a motorcycle, and even the roads are fantastic. 

Displays around this park are well spaced out and make for a pleasant stroll.
