Theatre Guild Valdosta is a modest one-screen theatre in downtown Valdosta.

This Theatre was opened in 1941, and it is also known as Dosta Playhouse.

It is a historical landmark and one of only two surviving Martin Theatres in Valdosta.

After all the inside was destroyed, the center became a furniture warehouse.

This didn’t last long, as a group of performers and the local arts center donated funds to restore the building to its original state.

With an exterior decorated with tiny blue glass mirrors and elegant Chinese red doors when it was renovated, the center became a gem once again.

The Guild bought the theatre in the 1990s, and it is now known as the Dosta Playhouse across the country.

It is a local theatre with local talent and lots of heart!

It is also a not-for-profit, live stage theater.

The Guild uses the Dosta Playhouse to host roughly six events per year. Sometimes they have four large shows incorporating dinner on some nights.

Davis Love III Designs developed this amazing golf course. And In the last ten years, it has hosted six PGA Nationwide Tour tournaments.

Despite the fact that the region is known for its flat terrain, Kinderlou Forest boasts golf-friendly scenery with a typical topography for the area.

Each hole has roughly five tee boxes. And is surrounded by a series of undulating hills unlike any other in southern Georgia.

It has already hosted the South Georgia Classic and five additional PGA qualifying tournaments in its first 10 years.

The tower at the end of the walk also provides an incredible view that lets you see across the swamp.

To complete its natural beauty, the park is home to a variety of wildlife, including several bird species, magnificent butterflies, alligators, snakes, bullfrogs, and more.

McKey Park is located on Patterson Street in the heart of Valdosta.

It is home to the wildly popular Harry B. Anderson Tennis Center.

There are 12 tennis courts at the tennis center.

These courts are utilized for lessons, clinics, and general tennis fun.

A tennis shelter, bleachers, bathrooms, and drinking fountains are also available.

McKey Park also has a sand volleyball court and two huge playgrounds in addition to tennis.
