Crab cakes, quail legs, ahi tuna tartare, shrimp cocktails, and fresh oysters are among the appetizers.

The crab meat and hatch pepper are very good, but the Brussels sprouts and pork belly would blow you away.

There are two levels here and the bar, located at the top level, is big.

3. USS Lexington Museum

7. Padre Island National Seashore

How does it sound to be on an uncrowded clean beach?

If you like the sound of that. Here’s a good place in Corpus Christi.

Padre Island National Seashore separates the Gulf of Mexico from the Laguna Madre, one of a few hypersaline lagoons in the world.

While it’s definitely not the beaches of Hawaii or the panhandle of Florida, it’s still a pretty nice Beach

130,000 acres of spectacular beaches, sand dunes, and grassland habitats make up this large area of stunning natural beauty.

Once you reach the beach, which is a short walk, it is flat and walking-friendly.

It’s also a birder’s heaven, with 350 distinct species.

This is possible thanks to its location along the Central Flyway, a major migratory bird route.

During certain periods of the year, nearly half of all North American migratory bird species can be seen here.

It is a safe nesting ground for the Kemp’s ridley sea turtle.

The seashore also has a rich history, including the Spanish shipwrecks of 1554.

You might even see wildlife such as deer and coyotes if you’re lucky.

The Texas State Aquarium has an incredible underwater world to explore!

Thousands of creatures spanning more than 500 species await your arrival to amaze, entertain, and inspire you.

The aquarium’s plan is to rehabilitate, rescue, and protect ocean wildlife while also educating guests on the importance of that mission.

While the surrounding area looks like a demilitarized zone, the Aquarium is a gem in the rubble.

It is well maintained and easily accessible with plenty of parking.

The aquarium itself is fantastic.

They have a few different touch areas, including sharks, stingrays, hermit crabs, and jellyfish.

Be sure to touch the sharks, rays or any animals find interesting.

There are also numerous displays in the Texas State Aquarium.

The displays are unique in their own way, ranging from above, below, and inside the tanks.

The Living Shores exhibit, which includes information about Corpus Christi’s Laguna Madre and exhibits of crabs and seahorses, is particularly noteworthy.

There are also Floating Phantoms, which are home to sea nettles and jellyfish.

You can witness non-fish animals in the aquarium’s Hawn Wild Flight Theater, where you can watch several birds of prey perform acrobatics.

11. Selena Museum, Corpus Christi

A small but nice attraction that illuminates the life of Selena Quintanilla.

Selena Quintanilla-Pérez is a well-known figure in Corpus Christi, a source of both pride and sadness.

This best-selling Latina singer was known as the Queen of Tejano music during her all-too-brief career.

You will learn about the Latin Singer’s accomplishment at such a young age as her life was cut short at the age of 23.

This museum does really keep her alive thanks to her family.

Selena’s ultimate resting place is in Seaside Memorial Park, and a local artist has created a life-size bronze statue of her.

The statue is titled Mirador de la Flor, which stands on the seawall (Overlook of the Flower).

When you arrived, you are in a lobby area. They wait for groups to walk in and gather, and then an employee begins a tour.

After the tour, you will be allowed to walk around freely in the museum portion with many of her old items.

The museum, which opened in 1998, features anecdotes about her life, a replica of her recording studio, and costumes she wore on stage.

It also features various trophies, and other personal things, like her Porsche, are also on display.

The cost is only $5 per person to get in (cash or credit).

You can also take pictures, but no videos and no using flash.

The best part of this museum is that every item is authentic and not a recreation.

A gift shop is also available if you need to grab some awesome blue jackets with her handwriting of song names.

This jacket also features her image on the back. What a cool souvenir, right?

12. The Art Museum of South Texas

The Art Museum of South Texas, one of Corpus Christi’s main cultural attractions, is housed in a magnificent new facility on the city’s waterfront.

Architecturally speaking, this museum is a work of art itself.

It is an absolutely majestic facility with tons of visual interest, not to mention the beautiful location overlooking the water.

The open layout of the museum complements the mural-like artworks in the center room very well.

In short, it is a unique and quiet place to unwind.

The building also hosts scheduled lectures, workshops, and theatrical and musical performances.

There is a broad range of exhibitions and educational activities concentrating on the region’s multicultural past as well.

Not only are there beautiful pieces to enjoy, but also interactive features that allow you to create your own digital painting or the water fountain statue located outside the conference-like room.

This museum utilizes space phenomenally, as you can find different pieces in every corner, even on the ceiling.

Despite being so expensive for a small museum, it’s very affordable as well.

13. North Beach, Corpus Christi

North Beach was formerly known as Corpus Christi Beach, and it is one the best places to in Corpus Christi if you want some tranquility.

You can’t go wrong with this place.

The beach is clean, quiet, and not too crowded.

Because it is not too crowded, the 1.5-mile cove of the beach is a beautiful escape from the city, and it has been a popular place across Harbor Bridge for over a century.

The waves weren’t huge, so this would be a great spot for kids.

There are also jet skis or kayaks to rent, or you can purchase a raft/tube or skid/boogie board from a local shop.

Even though the sands here are coarse, you will still enjoy every bit of it.

On the golden sands and mild surf, you may enjoy beach combing, swimming, picnicking, sunbathing, and more.

The USS Enterprise looms at the end of the beach and large ships come and go from Corpus Christi harbor.

14. Britton-Evans House and Sidbury House

If you want to see one of the oldest homes in Corpus Christi, you can never go wrong visiting this place.

Two ancient residences in Corpus Christi have created a name for themselves.

They have proven to be real, old-fashioned houses from the nineteenth century that provide a view into the past.

Built in 1849, the Britton-Evans House is also known as the Centennial House.

Forbes Britton, a shipping firm partner of Britton, Mann, and Yates, designed it.

He was in charge of running a freight route between Galveston and the city.

It is situated high up on the bluff in modern-day uptown and the Britton-Evans Centennial House is the oldest home in Corpus Christi still in its original location.

As the oldest of Corpus Christi’s buildings, it has known many lives.

The building once served as a hospital during the civil war.

Centennial House was also home to several of Corpus Christi’s most influential residents, including the Howells, Staples, and Evans families.

For city folks not wanting their tires in the sand, there is a paved lot where you’ll follow.

For adventurers, overnight campers, or families who enjoy a good tailgate-style beach day, you’ll access the drivable portion of Mustang Island.

This park has large dunes for sunbathing and making sandcastles.

Visitors can also swim in the warm Gulf of Mexico seas or paddle their kayaks along the Mustang Island Paddling Trail.

Kayak rentals are available in Port Aransas and immediately south of the park, so you have no excuse no to go kayaking right?

Thursday through Sunday, Mustang Island State Park is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

From Monday through Wednesday, it is temporarily closed.

In general, the facility is clean and well-maintained.

For those looking to get behind the wheel, head for the go-karts and bumper boats.

Similarly, if you are not afraid of heights, go for the rope course.

You can also try your arm at ax throwing or take a swing in the batting cages.

Mini-golf and bowling are always a family favorite, but light these up at night for a new family adventure.

The Hurricane Alley Waterpark(HAW) is another great place for family fun in Corpus.

Hurricane Alley Waterpark, which is located on Port Avenue and is packed with entertaining activities during its peak season in the summer.

Though small, it is perfect for families. The water is also super clean.

There is a tall slide with 2 slides, a medium slide with 2 slides, and a body slide with 4.

You have to take off your hat, glasses, and shoes for all the slides.

The wave pool is fun and they have life jackets available under the medium slide.

Prices in the store are a little high, so make sure you come prepared with what you need.

Even though no outside food or drink is allowed, they do, however, offer picnic tables outside, and you are allowed to leave your own ice chest with food and drink there.

The park has received honors and acquired a reputation as one of Corpus Christi’s most popular family attractions.

The 70,000-acre Aransas National Wildlife Refuge is located 50 miles north of Corpus Christi.

This location is also home to a variety of other birds that live among the area’s vast tidal flats, salt marshes, grasslands, and freshwater ponds.

This is a large wildlife refuge that has several cool lookout piers, bridges, and towers.

Some lookouts include free binoculars or telescopes to check out the wildlife.

These lookouts are a short hiking distance from the nearby parking lots.

The bird-watching is incredible. A few alligators, plenty of frogs, and fish are present here.
